The Himley House Hotel dates back to the 17th Century. Set in three acres
of grounds, it is surrounded by pleasant countryside yet close to major road
networks.
Originally the lodge house for the nearby stately Himley Hall, this
fine Georgian-style hotel has a long and colourful history having seen the
coming and going of many royal visitors to Himley Park – the Prince of Wales
who became Edward VIII before abdicating would often visit Himley.
Wallis
Simpson was known to accompany the Prince to Himley, arriving in the royal
aeroplane which would land on the front lawn of the Hall!
